Using a Sony A7 camera tethered to a mobile phone to use as a shutter. This piece is about still wanting to achieve our dreams & aspirations & develop whilst living with Muscular Dystrophy. Finding love, having a family, soul searching, being at peace. "I once had a dream, I was floating in, A space so beautiful, so tranquil, so pure.... I now know what that space is & was, A special place within your heart." I have Muscular Dystrophy. I am a wheelchair dependant photographer & artist. This self portrait piece is inspired by the daily challenges faced living with a progressive muscle wasting disease called Muscular Dystrophy. This piece is concentrating on showing the wasting & winging scapular & the back. Coming to terms with an ever changing wasting body & learning to still love & embrace myself. Helping others do the same is very important to me. ​ I wanted to document my journey living with Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy. This is part of an honest & open self portrait project. Depicting the raw emotion & struggles of the progressive disease. Documenting the rollercoaster of anxiety,fear, lonliness & pain. Seeing the effects & coping with the emotional challenges of an ever changing physical wasting alongside weakness. Delivering strength, guts & determination to the viewer allowing those with similar struggles to experience togetherness throughout. ​ We will fight, we are strong & we do have a voice, a soul & a mind. ​We are all a"beautiful Mess "
